FINALLY! After this long, rotten winter it is officially spring! Although it doesn’t quite feel like spring yet, just knowing that winter is over makes today a good day. If only it was warm enough for an outdoor morning run.
I slogged away at 5 miles on the treadmill this morning. I left the gym feeling sweaty but accomplished. Another training run checked off the list!
Seeing that the weather is exactly cooperating, the next best way to ring in the spring…with a new Stitch Fix (<– my referral link)! My fix came in the mail on Tuesday but I had to sleep on it before I could decide what I wanted to keep. Here is the roundup…
I’ll start by saying everything fit well and I liked all of the pieces (as usual). The piece that caught my eye the most was the tri-toned cuff bracelet. Spoiler alert: KEEPING IT!
This bracelet will match everything in my spring/summer closet. I cant wait to wear short sleeves…ahhhh…summer….
Next I tried on the coral sweater. Loved it.
I thought I would really like the burgundy striped sweater/shirt piece but it was a little loose and made my look a little boxy (in my own biased opinion).
The wacky print shirt…hmmm that shirt. It fit ok and looked ok on. This piece is not really my style but the whole reason I joined Stitch Fix was to up my style game. This shirt would be fun with a simple pencil skirt for work or with denim shorts for summer days. Decisions, decisions…
Lastly I tried on the blue skinny jeans. When I first unpacked them, I held them up next to me and the waistband nearly came up to my eyeballs. I am only about 5’5″ (ok…5’4″ and 3/4) and these look like they were made for 5’10” Behati Prinsloo (love her!).
I tried rolling them at the ankles to see if I could make them work (see pic above). They looked ok. Like, not love. And especially no love for the $88 price tag.
With the clock ticking, I finally made up my mind.
I kept the tri-toned cuff, the coral sweater and the funky printed top. The coral top and cuff are well within my clothing safety zone but the funky print top is not. Hopefully I can pull it off.
Fingers crossed!
Happy hump day and more importantly happy first day of spring!
