Isn’t March supposed to come in like a lion and out like a lamb? We are not having lamb weather right now. It is cold and raining and I woke up to a car covered in slushy SNOW this morning. Gross.
Despite the rotten weather I actually had a pretty great weekend. Friday night I went out with a few co-workers for drinks and miraculously made my train home. Thank you to the cabbie who blew through a red light to get me to the train station with only moments to spare! Huge win and great way to start the weekend.
Saturday morning Mugsy and I dud our long run. We are up to 5 miles and used a race route I’m familiar with. Here are our splits.
Mile 1: 9:52 (looks like we were chatting more than running!)
Mile 2: 9:23
Mile 3: 9:17
Mile 4: 9:05
Mile 5: 9:06
Last 0.39 miles: 8:57
Our pace was a little slower than last week but we ran longer and talked more. Either way, it was a great run and the highlight of my day. After running it was spring cleaning time š¦ SL and I cleaned the house all afternoon and into the evening. Not fun but the weather was rotten so I guess it was a good day to do it.
Sunday morning started out with a much needed flowing yoga class. It was offered for free at the new Studio 13 location so Mugsy and I met up again and spend an hour yoga-ing together. If you have been reading this blog for any amount of time you may be asking yourself if I have any friends other than Mugsy. In short, yes, I do. But not that many. We keep our circle tight!
After yoga, SL an I looked at a house (another loser), I ran some errands, picked my parents up from the airport and met with my school group to get our work done. Nothing crazy, typical Sunday for me.
Now, looking ahead to this week…the first week of April! I can’t believe its already April. Here is my training schedule for the week.
Monday: AM – Bike 12 miles (complete!) / PM – R.I.P.P.E.D.
Tuesday: AM – Run 4+ miles / PM – Maybe Zumba, maybe Barre, depends on how I feel
Wednesday: Swim 300
Thursday: BRICK!
Friday: AM – Swim 400 / PM – REST!
Saturday: Long Run (5 miles)
Sunday: Bike and/or Yoga
I am looking forward to another week of crazy training and the fact that tomorrow is April!
Have an awesome day š
Great schedule for the week!!! I’m excited about April, too!!!
