I have been working my academic butt off for the past 3 years. I am completely spent! Good thing I am currently blogging from the plane to Florida! This is a much need vacation for both SL and I.
I was in class until 10 last night presenting the project my group has been working on all semester. It was well received by both the business we presented to and our professor. I was beyond relieved when it was done and enjoy a nice HUGE glass of wine when I got home and finished some last minute packing.
SL and I left the house at 4:50 this morning so I did not get a workout in but I am hoping to get a short run or a short gym session in once we get to Lady Lake, but no promises. We are visiting SL’s aunt, uncle and grandmother for the first couple days before heading south to Cape Coral.
I have an 8 mile run planned for tomorrow which I am nervous about but the weather is starting to look more in my favor. I do not mind running in the rain but if it starts to thunder, I might run to the treadmill and finish there. Playing it by ear on this one.
Although this isn’t a true Friday Favorites post, here are some things I am loving this week.
Downeast Cider Apple Scented Candle
I thought winter was over but the weather this week proved otherwise. It was cold and rainy all week and a little comforting candle was a must.
I have been dying for oysters lately and luckily SL has too. We splurged on Monday night and ordered a dozen on our date night out. Oysters are really expensive in these parts but if there weren’t, I would eat them everyday! These particular ones were absolutely huge but I still could have eaten 50 of them.
How was this the first time I’ve been to Orange Leaf? They have been popping up all over the place and last year one popped up right in my neighborhood. I always meant to try it out but never got around to it until this week. I had no idea what I was missing! O made myself a large and tried three different kinds, pink lemonade (no toppings), cookies and cream with mini PB cups and marshmallow sauce and wedding cake with raspberries and crushed Oroes. All were delicious and I only ended up having to share a little with SL.
Green Mountain Coffee Island Coconut K-Cups
Hello vacation in a cup! This limited edition blend is filled with coconut flavor and instantly puts me in vacay mode! How appropriate for this week.
