May Stitch Fix

Hey hey hey! Happy Long weekend friends. I don’t have a ton planned for the long weekend but hope to get to the beach tomorrow to work on my Vitamin D supply (and my summer tan, hopefully). Other than that, SL and I will be hanging around the house getting things done.

Now to the meat of this post, my May Stitch Fix.

May Stitch Fix

If you live under a rock and don’t know much about Stitch Fix (<— referral link) then check out this post where I explain it in more detail.

Last month was a dud in terms of what I got so I left my stylist a note saying that I wanted some cute, fun, summery tops. My closet is seriously lacking in warm weather clothes right now. So here it goes…

May Stitch Fix

Zola Asymmetrical Striped Dress by Loveappella – $58

Zola Asymmetrical Striped Dress

This dress looked cute in the box and looked ok on but there was something about it that just wasn’t right for my bod. It was a little long, cutting me off at the wrong spot. The asymmetrical thing looks better in this photo than it did in real life. I can find a t-shirt dress elsewhere for under $60.

Skylar Asymmetrical Knit Zip Up Jacket by Mystree – $78

{Insert heart eyes emoji here}

I fell in love with this jacket the second I put it on. I love the asymmetrical zipper and the neutral tone. I wore this jacket to work the day after I got it and have worn it a couple more times since. It is the perfect, light-weight, zip-up for the spring.

KEEP!

Lyra 3/4 Sleeve Abstract Chevron Dress by Pixley – $58

Grandma’s nightgown. Enough said.

Nelda Halter Blouse by Pixley – $44

Nelda Halter Blouse

This type of top was exactly what I was hoping for in this fix. It’s summery, flowy, cute and comfy. I wore it when SL and I were in Florida last weekend with denim shorts and sandals and it was the perfect outfit for lunch out with his family. I plan to get a lot of use out of this top over the summer.

KEEP!

Rover Abstract Print Zip Back Blouse by 19 Cooper – $58

Rover Abstract Print Zip Back Blouse

Love, love, love this! I was sold the second I put it on. Like the other top, this is exactly what I was hoping for from my stylist. And that cute zip detail on the back?! I die!

KEEP!

I ended up spending a bit more than I would have liked to this month but I truly loved the 3 pieces I kept and know I will get a lot of use out of them this summer.

I hope you all have a smashing Saturday night!

April Stitch Fix

Hey ya’ll! (Sometimes I think I’m Southern) This week has been crawling by at a snails pace. I have been thinking it was Thursday since Tuesday…woof. Now that the weekend is actually in our sights, I am filling my schedule with fun things like a Derby party, a massage and (hopefully) a new-to-me workout class. Fingers crossed on that one!

And now for my April Stitch Fix. My stylist(s) has been on a roll lately so I was really excited to get this month’s fix to check it out. Side note: I have been living in the Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket from my February Fix now that the temperatures have been keeping up. It is the perfect sprint jacket. There, I said it. And now that it is spring, I was hoping for a bunch of spring-y and/or summer items in my fix.

Without further ado, here is what I got this month. Sorry about the lack of prices this month. I forgot to jot them down before I cashed out.

Corinna Striped Dolman Top

Corinna Striped Dolman Top

Hi Stylist – I already have this shirt in maroon. I love it and wear it almost weekly but I joined Stitch Fix so I would stop buying the same shirt in 12 colors.

Throwback to my first fix! Look at that lighting #nailedit. The afore mentioned shirt is in the middle on the top. From this fix I kept the shirt and the leopard scarf which I wear all the time too.

Eloise Maxi Dress by Gilli

maxi dress

Can every item in my closet be a maxi dress? How I have missed you maxi! Now that warmer weather is supposedly on the way, I am dying bring my maxis back into the outfit rotation. I liked this one but it felt a little big and was really pricey compared to a couple of my favorite maxis that I picked up at Target last year.

Tucker Mixed Print Split-Back Tank by Renee C

Open back tank

I was on the fence about this one. It was a like-not-love because something about it made me feel like an old lady. Looking back at the pictures I am glad I didn’t keep it. Summer pieces should be bright and fun.

RETURN

Derby Thermal Cardigan by Millibon

Cardigan

I couldn’t even take a decent picture of myself in this piece. I’m not cool enough for flowy cardigans.

RETURN

Rhian Multi-Layer Beaded Necklace by Zad

Necklace

Just no.

RETURN

Whomp. Whomp. No keepers this month. I just didn’t really LOVE anything. If tied down and forced to keep something I would have hung on to the maxi but I just wasn’t in the mood to drop $80 on a maxi dress when you can pick one up at Target for less than $30.

Oh well, better luck next time! To be fair, I need to do a better job at keeping my Style Profile up to date and pinning things to my Pinterest board to let me stylist know what I am feeling that particular month.

Stylist – if you are reading this, here is what I want:

  • Bright colors
  • Open back things
  • Patterns
  • Skinnier arms
  • More pizza

Here’s hoping you all have a lovely Thursday and check in tomorrow for a fun overview of something awesome (vagueness for the win!)
