Friday Favorites – 9.5

September already?! What?! I am not ready for summer to be over so good thing its been hot as balls this week. Before I go into things I’ve been loving this week I’d like to first point out that I loved that it was a short work week. Usually short weeks drag by but this week zoomed by! It’s the little things that make me happy.

Now, onto some other things I have been loving this week.

Friday Favorites

  • Free Burrito Days at Boloco

Burrito

I love burritos (and most other “Mexican” food). I love that Boloco has mini burritos so I can eat one and not immediately feel like I have to run a triathlon to burn it off. I love free things. So really, this is the best possible thing that has happened to me EVER this week. If you live in New England and love a good burrito, visit your nearest Boloco on their free burrito day and hook yourself up!

  • Jillian Michaels’ Podcast

Jillian Michaels' podcast

This is truly a gem. I’ve been listening non stop for a couple weeks now and I love every second of it. I find myself laughing out loud while walking to and from work, on the train and sometimes at work. Its that good. Jill and her co-host, Janis, discuss everything under the sun so each show is completely different. Love it. Keep up the great work Jillian!

Stitch Fix Bag

I made the switch from the purse I’ve been toting around since Christmas to this new bag. Calling it a purse would be an understatement because I could legit pack for a weekend in this bad boy and still have room for more. Note – I stuffed my free burrito in it above. It’s gigantic and I love it! It came in my August Fix (which I kept everything from) and I raved about it to my stylist. It can be worn as a cross body or carried as a tote making it perfect in all ways.

  • Labor Day Sales

Old Navy Labor Day Sale

I did not take as much advantage of these as I should have but I did get some things I have been wanting but didn’t want to fork over the cash for. Both of my buys were from Old Navy on Monday and I can’t wait to wear them both. First this red chambray button up. I bought the blue on last season and I seriously live in it. My mom has always told me I look good in red so I went with the red. I also snagged these Active Compression Leggings and I am already wishing I had purchased two pairs. Solid chance I start living in these once the fall and winter roll around.

And that’s a wrap for this week. I am really looking forward to this weekend because SL and I have some fun things on the docket. I’ll be sure to recap on Monday. Hope you have a awesome and active weekend!

What are you loving this week?

Are there any great Labor Day sales still going on?

Old Navy is doing 20% off until Monday with code SAVE. Maybe I will order another pair of leggings!

August Stitch Fix

You nailed it Stitch Fix! This was by far my favorite fix yet and I ended up keep all five things for the first time.

If you are new to Stitch Fix (<– my referral link), here is a quick run down – Stitch Fix is a personalized styling service, perfect for those of us who aren’t the best shoppers or who love shopping but buy the same types of things over and over. Personally, I joined Stitch Fix in the hopes they would send things I’d never dream of trying on and so far that’s exactly what I have gotten.

You create your own style profile online by answering various questions (which you can update at any time) then you schedule a “fix” for delivery to your house for a $20 styling fee. Each fix comes with 5 items (a mix of clothing and accessories) and you can choose what you want to keep after trying everything on in the comfort of your own home.

If you want to return things, Stitch Fix sends a self-address envelop that you just put everything in and pop into the mailbox. If you decide to keep certain items, the $20 styling fee is deducted from your total and if you keep all five items an additional 25% is taken off your total!

Now on to the fun stuff…here’s what I got!

Stitch Fix

Yolanda Woven Buckle Detail Bag

This bag is super cute and doubles as a tote and a cross body. It’s nice and big to fit all my stuff too! I will probably mostly use it as a cross body because I’ve been loving the “having my hands and arms free” thing lately.

Kiera Nautical Stud Set

I requested these after seeing them on Sarah Fit‘s blog or one of her videos (forget which), and I got them. Thank you Stitch Fix! These are so cute and a perfect for my style and wardrobe.

Coco Swiss Dot Lattice Detail Blouse

I fell instantly in love with this top and wore it to work the day after I got my fix. Funny story – a woman I work with got the same shirt in her latest fix and we bonded over a shared love for Stitch Fix! #smallworld

Palacio Abstract Print Colorblock Tank

This is so colorful and just brighten my day when I look at it! I haven’t worn it yet but I know it will be perfect with jeans or black skinnies for work or with cute shorts for a date night SL!

Annah Ombre Dyed Hooded Sweatshirt

Sweatshirt is a bit too heavy of a word for this top, its more of a long sleeve T with a hood. I wore it out to the after party post-wedding this weekend and it was perfect for the coolish summer night. I took a pic of me in it but it same out too dark to share.
