Yup, I worked a street corner this weekend. But that wasn’t all I did.

Friday Night

Date night! SL and I went to the movies and saw Gone Girl and it was awesome. Now I am really looking forward to Dark Places which is said to come out next month.

Saturday

Saturday was gross! I spent some time (a lot of time) working on various blog projects then finally dragged my butt to the gym. It was nearly empty so I spent time on the treadmill and elliptical and watched a ton of Blogilates YouTube videos to keep me occupied.

Once I got home, I made a quick lunch, showered, got in comfy clothes and spend the afternoon and some of the evening on the couch with the little fur monster. She made herself I nice bed of pillows, a jacket and a scarf. A queen through and through.

After hours of being a bum, I got myself some dinner and met up with my MOH for drinks. SL and a couple of his friends (who are also in the wedding party) ended up joining us too.

Sunday

I did something I have never done before…I worked a street corner…while VOLUNTEERING at a race! Iv’e run dozens or road races and have always been very appreciative of those who are helping make the race possible and on Sunday I was finally one of those people.

My station was at Mile 1  / Mile 12 and all I had to do was make sure racers followed the signed and didn’t zig when they were supposed to zag. Luckily, it was a perfectly beautiful fall day and I loved every minute of my 3-hour volunteer shift. I will absolutely do it again.

Maybe next time they will trust my to do something I little more difficult like handing out water or working the registration table. A girl can dream! After my “I did a good deed” stint I had normal Sunday things to do like grocery shop, clean and do food prep…fun, fun, fun.

All and all this was a great weekend but as always, it went by way too fast. Now time to conquer the week!
