Quick Weekend Recap + Weekly Schedule

Hey hey hey!

Another amazing weekend flew by for me. Here is how it all went down.


SL and I cooked dinner at home which included ALL.THE.VEGGIES from the garden. We hung out on the couch for a while then went out to chase the Northern Lights. No luck though. It’s no where near dark enough anywhere close to our house to see them. Womp womp.

Got my nails did. Bought a new dress and got dressed up for an amazing wedding. My sister’s best friend finally married her man after 9 years together. She looked beautiful and my sister killed her MOH speech. I can’t wait to hear what she has to say about my next October!

Work emergency! I was tied to my laptop all day but that didn’t stop me from cheering on the Patriots in their win over the Vikings. After the win, grocery shopping, cooking dinner (stuffed peppers!) and a little chill time before bed.

I actually woke up about 15 minutes before my alarm this morning and tried to figure out what day it was and ran through a quick checklist in my head and realized it was Monday. Worst. But at least the worst wake up of the week is already over.

I felt like I got hit by the plague last week and my workouts didn’t go as planned. So this week I will try to redeem myself.

Monday: R.I.P.P.E.D.

Tuesday: Cardio + New kettlebell workout (I will post later this week)

Wednesday: Barry’s Bootcamp – Chest, Back & Abs Day!

Thursday: Cardio + Strength

Friday: Swim 30 mins.

Weekend: Don’t know yet!

Time to get back to work my friends!

Anything But Relaxing Weekend

I did it! Another Great Adventure Challenge is officially in the books and this year was my favorite to date. I will do a full update tomorrow and Wednesday but for now I’ll let you know that I had a great race.

Post-race, SL and I hung out with my parents, had pizza for dinner, made a camp fire and went to bed on the early side. I was exhausted. Sunday morning was rainy so we slept in then enjoyed breakfast out at our new favorite little breakfast nook when we are in Maine, Beth’s Kitchen Cafe.¬† After a leisurely breakfast we packed up and headed home. After WAY more traffic than expected I was home and ready to plan for the week.

Dinner were easy this week because Tuesday and Thursday SL and I have dinner scheduled so I really only had to plan for tonight and Wednesday. Easy – tonight, steaks we had in the freezer and Wednesday, Sweet and Spicy Mango Shrimp. Done and done.

As for workouts, that’s another story. Despite a bunch of foam rolling I am still a bit sore from Saturday so I am taking another (active) rest day today.

Monday – Active rest day, still walking to and from the office totally about 3 miles

Tuesday – 40 min. bike

Wednesday – Barry’s Bootcamp

Thursday – 30 min. swim

Friday – 30 min. run

Saturday – 60 min. bike

Sunday –¬†Rest day (but hopefully an active rest day!)

Now time to tackle the week…and by that I mean make some coffee and get to work! See you tomorrow with my recap of the kayak and bike portion of the GAC!
